Show all datesGabriel Bismut presents his new quartet alongside pianist Clément Simon, double bassist Tristan Loriaut and drummer Tom Peyron.
the complementary sonorities of the violin/viola and the piano are strongly supported by a deep and energetic drums and double bass.
The sources of this quartet range from modern New York jazz (Aaron Parks, Brad Mehldau) to the post-Bop era of Wayne Shorter and John Coltrane, with the brilliant influences of the French touch (Michel Petrucciani), also characterized by the use of the violin (Didier Lockwood, Jean-Luc Ponty). The result is a very homogeneous sound where the complementary sonorities of the violin/viola and the piano are strongly supported by a deep and energetic drums and double bass. They perform modern jazz covers and their compositions.
